Honduran Milksnakes

Honduran Milksnakes

San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua

I was lucky enough to purchase a pair of these from another importer in Florida in the summer of 2021. My group, collected from San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, are the real deal- pure Honduran Milksnakes. I have both tri-colors and bi-colors (red and black). Pure Hondurans are incredibly rare in the hobby due to most animals being crossed into a plethora of other polyzona subspecies for desired phenotypes. My plan is for this line to remain pure, while importing additional animas to keep bloodlines outcrossed.

High Black Tangerine Phase

In stark contrast to the outcrossed pure Hondurans I generally work with, these are more or less a labor of love first pointed out to me by Zack Davis from Tennessee. The high black animals originated with Dan and Collette Southerland from The Snake Keeper Inc. (TSK). This bloodline is a selectively bred group of animals that only display black and orange coloration with a jet black venter. These are almost certainly not pure as most “hobbydurans” have been crossed into stuarti, conanti, polyzona and others. Regardless, they are gorgeous animals that i’m excited to work with and propagate as a pet project. My eventual goal is to breed this into other “hobbyduran” morphs like albinos, anerys, and hypos.
